Get Involved
There are many ways to support Native American communities. Here’s how you can start.
Learn
Start by learning about the Indigenous peoples whose land you live on. Visit Native-Land.ca to find out which tribal territories your home is on. Read about their history, their present, and the challenges they face.
Visit
If you’re in Delaware, visit the Nanticoke Indian Museum in Millsboro. Attend the annual Nanticoke PowWow in September. These are open to the public and are welcoming, educational experiences for people of all backgrounds.
Volunteer
We’re always looking for volunteers — especially young people — to help at community events, create educational content, and support outreach efforts. If you’re a student group, scout troop, or community organization interested in volunteering at the PowWow or other tribal events, we can help coordinate.
Support
Support the Nanticoke Indian Tribe directly by visiting the Nanticoke Indian Tribe website, purchasing from the museum gift shop, or donating to tribal initiatives. Every bit of support helps sustain cultural programs, community services, and the ongoing push for federal recognition.
