Our Mission
Mission
To support and uplift Native American communities through research, education, volunteerism, and cultural preservation — starting with the Nanticoke Indian Tribe of Delaware.
Vision
A future where Indigenous communities are recognized, respected, and resourced — and where young people are active partners in making that happen.
Our Values
Respect
We center Indigenous voices and perspectives. We listen before we speak, and we follow the lead of the communities we serve. Our work is guided by relationships, not assumptions.
Research
We believe that rigorous, ethical research can change policy and public understanding. Our academic work on cultural tourism economics aims to provide data that tribal communities can use to advocate for themselves.
Action
Awareness without action is incomplete. We volunteer, organize, fundraise, and show up — physically and consistently. We believe young people don’t have to wait to make a difference.
Education
Most Americans — including those living in Delaware — know very little about the Indigenous peoples whose land they inhabit. We aim to change that through storytelling, research dissemination, and community engagement.
Our Approach
We work across three pillars:
- Research & Scholarship — Independent academic research on the economic and cultural impact of Indigenous heritage tourism, conducted in partnership with university faculty.
- Community Engagement — Hands-on volunteering at tribal events, organizing youth participation, and building lasting relationships with the Nanticoke community.
- Awareness & Advocacy — Sharing Indigenous stories through writing, social media, school presentations, and this website to reach audiences who may never have encountered these issues.
